Teachers with recent proven knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum of England and Wales are required for a well established and reputable British curriculum non for profit school in Jordan for September 2012, set in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Amman.
For standard classroom teaching positions there is a minimal requirement of two years of experience and for managerial positions (heads of department / key stage co-ordinators) a minimum of five years experience is desirable in addition with recent and practical experience of the National Curriculum. Although this is a British curriculum school, teachers need to appreciate the cultural and english language diversity of an international mix of students. All applicants must complete a 'letter of application' explaining their philosophy of education and the reasons foe their desire to consider an international teaching position in Jordan'
Salary is 95% of the UK pay scale M1-M6 (tax is set at 11%). Approximately 65% of social security contributions (5%) plus 11% added by the school are refunded in addition to a government gratuity. This is a 'family friendly' school offering single occupancy accomodations, flights, medical insurance plus other attractive benefits extending to spouse and two children, who also receive free education at the school.
