The school are seeking flexible, innovative and highly motivated international teaching staff to join their team. These posts are for the coming academic year when they are expanding their school in to the Senior Years programme. The school has students from 2-17 years of age, and is fully authorised in the International Baccalaureate Primary and expects to have Middle Years authorisation in May 2011.
Staff usually come from countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the UK (the Principal is from New Zealand and the Deputy from Australia). IB experience is preferred but they do train their staff so this is not essential and there is good professional development available. Two plus years experience post qualification is ideal though they will look at good teachers with less. There is a good social life between staff and they often meet up for dinners, drinks or even weekends away together. The atmosphere at the school is friendly, warm (even if the building itself is not warm - take a big jacket!) and supportive.
This international school was set up in 2003 in the Suzhou New District. From the new school year 2008/09 the school relocated to a brand new, purpose-built campus in the Suzhou Science and Technology Town, with a land area of approximately 3 hectares and a built-in area of 13,800 square metres, including excellent sports facilities such as an indoor heated swimming pool, spacious classrooms, excellent art, science and music facilities, large auditorium, gymnasium, basketball courts, tennis court and a synthetic grass sports field.. It offers classes from pre-school to middle school.

Two Year Contract
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications and will be between CNY 19,500 for a 4 year qualified teacher with 1 years teaching experience and CNY 25,000 for a 4 year qualified teacher with 12+ years experience. Income tax on salary to be paid by teacher (typically is between 10% and 15%). Salary is inclusive of overseas cost of living
Economy airfare between Home of Record and China at the beginning and the end of the contract and during summer holiday for teachers (and dependants living with the teacher), for the duration of the employee's employment.
