Registration with Teachanywhere is the first step to a world of opportunity. Best
of all, its easy and FREE.
Your information is kept confidential, and will allow us to match you with the
right region and school for you.
Registration takes place in four steps:
- Online
registration which takes approximately 15 minutes.
- CV Review. Once you upload your CV we will review your education and
background.
- Telephone discussion. During this time we find out more about you, what
you want, and your priorities. We can answer any specific questions about the
various schools and regions of the world.
- Document collection. During the final phase we collect all of the
documentation that we will need. Each piece of documentation is required for a
specific purpose and includes the following.
- An electronic photograph. A photo of your face from the neck up is fine.
- Reference details to cover the past 2 years and at least 2 referees.
These must be current or former supervisors who have seen you teach. We require
the following information: Name, title, school and contact information
(preferably school fax/email). If you have written testimonials, provide them as
well but we will need to verify them.
- A copy of your passport as proof of identity.
- A copy of your teaching certificate and degrees. If you have transcripts
we collect a copy as they are required in some countries.
- A copy of your Criminal Record Check / Police check issued within the past
year.
- If you are in the UK we will need your National Insurance number (if you have
one) and proof of address such as a utility bill, payslip, etc
Why do we ask for all of this information?
Different countries, and even different regions within the same country, have
different rules than ours regarding teacher certification and immigration.
Further, some positions are better suited to teachers with dependants than
others.
For instance:
- Some schools cannot sponsor work permits and need EC teachers
- Most International schools want teachers who can raise standards – academic
teachers who have experience with planning, preparation, and achieving results
in their subject area.
- Some countries have an age restriction for work visas
- Some countries do not allow your place of work to sponsor an unmarried partner
- Some countries require your degree and teacher training to match the specific
age range and subject area that you have experience teaching
Luckily, your Teachanywhere consultant can help advise you on the right position
for your individual circumstances.
