Educational requirements for Primary/Secondary schools

Teachanywhere primarily recruits teachers who are qualified/certified to teach children in a state school in their home country. The kinds of qualifications required differ by country but typically include a bachelor's or master's of education, postgraduate degree/certificate in education, higher diploma in education, full US teacher certification or Qualified Teacher Status. Note that South African teachers with only a higher diploma in education who do not have a bachelor's degree will have extremely limited opportunities.

Educational requirements for Teaching English as a Foreign Language

A certificate to teach English as a foreign language and a bachelor's degree is usually not sufficient to teach in an international school where all/most subjects are taught in English. We have some limited opportunities to teach English as a foreign language (EFL) and these posts usually require at least 2-3 years of EFL teaching experience. These posts often require native English speakers as well.

All teachers must be completely fluent in English.
