What is a Transcript
In some countries, the only document provided to graduates
is a degree or certificate, but for some applications further
detailed documentation is required, called a
transcript.
A university transcript is an official copy of a student's
academic record. Every course and experience for which you have
earned academic credit is listed.
To obtain one, you should contact your university and ask
for student services, the registrar or bursar. Many times they
can simply be requested online from your university website so
that's the first place you should start. They can be completely
free of charge or sometimes a small fee is charged.
Please request transcripts at the earliest possible
stage – they can take several weeks and the lack of a
transcript has held up many applications and offers!
If you have contacted your university and you are unable to
get a transcript, please request a letter from the university
on their letterhead indicating that you have graduated from
your university, why they cannot provide a transcript along
with whatever information they can provide (even if it's just a
list of courses you took) - and then contact your Teachanywhere
consultant.
