Head of Music is a key role within the school and encompasses responsibility for the delivery and the development of the Music Department. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and management of Music to secure outstanding teaching and learning, effective use of resources and enhanced standards and achievement for all pupils. The Head of Music also contributes to school development and improvement as a key middle leader.

Applicants should have:

  • 5 years teaching experience
  • A Masters qualification is an advantage
  • Relevant UK curriculum experience and a clear understanding of teaching at Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE and BTEC
  • previous departmental leadership experience is welcomed
