Role and Responsibilities:
As an Upper School English Teacher in China, you will:
Deliver high-quality English lessons to Upper School students, preparing them for IGCSE and A-Level exams.
Create engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire students to reach their full academic potential.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
Provide mentorship and support to students, helping them develop both academically and personally.
Contribute to extracurricular activities, enhancing the holistic education experience for students.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department's curriculum and teaching strategies.
Stay updated on educational developments and implement innovative teaching practices.
Requirements:
- Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE or other recognised teaching qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience, with experience in the UK curriculum highly desirable.
- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language is beneficial.
- Proven track record of professional development and a passion for continuous learning.
- Knowledge and experience of effective use of ICT in education.
- Active participation in extracurricular activities is expected.
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and a passion for nurturing the academic and personal growth of students.
- Strong collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
