Post: Elementary Teachers
Required: August 2024
Location: Kuwait
Curriculum: US Curriculum
Experience: Strong newly qualified teachers considered (2 Years teaching experience)
Sponsorship: Single teachers or married teaching couples
Salary: Tax-free with great saving potential. KWD 1000
Contract: 1 year, renewable

School Ethos/Vision:
Established in 1995, this school offers an adapted version of an American curriculum from KG to Grade 12 and serves a mostly Kuwaiti student body (95%) with an international curriculum and a good mix of international and local teaching staff. The school is divided in to 4 sections: early Early Years, Elementary (Grades 1-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12). There are specialist teachers for non core subjects for the KG and Elementary Department. The mission of the school is to provide high quality international education, whilst preserving and promoting Kuwaiti values and traditions. This program is implemented by highly qualified, highly motivated teachers. High expectations of academic and behavioural standards and creativity are promoted for students, enabling them to go on and study internationally and become successful 21st-century adults.
Living in Kuwait:
A heady mix of market bazaars and gleaming skyscrapers along a glistening coast, Kuwait is your prototypical oil-rich state, and travellers looking for a relaxed entry into the Muslim world can look forward to wandering around mosques, souks, and other sandy traces of bygone Bedouin days. Behind the glitzy opulence lies a deep sense of traditional values and warm Arabian hospitality. Kuwait City and the surrounding communities are developing into buzzing metropolises with gleaming high rises, numerous luxury hotels, brand new shopping malls, lots of cafes and restaurants, cinemas, and lush parks set along wide avenues.

Requirements:
Teachers need to be happy to immerse themselves in a new cultural experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt and differentiate delivery accordingly. While the school prefers two years of post qualifying experience, strong, newly qualified teachers will be considered. Primary teachers must have either a Bachelor of Education in Primary or a first degree in a core primary curriculum subject and a postgraduate certificate in primary teaching. Secondary teachers must have a first degree and a teaching certificate that matches their subject.

Package: A competitive tax-free salary from 790 KWD to 1200 KWD. Free-furnished single accommodation located close to the beach with excellent amenities nearby. Paid utility bills, medical cover, annual flights, baggage allowance, and end-of-service gratuity. Kuwait is often cheaper than some of its Middle East neighbours and salaries tend to be more competitive, so you are afforded great savings potential with this vacancy.
