Dulwich International High School Zhuhai is an independent co-ed high school for students aged 14-18. Having opened its doors in 2010,they currently have 334 students on roll. Chinese students make up the student body predominately,though there are students of other nationalities attending the school,from countries including Canada,Malaysia,Korea,Germany,France,and Mexico. The school offers a challenging academic and holistic education to its students,centred on an enhanced English National Curriculum leading to externally assessed Cambridge IGCSE examinations followed by A-levels. The school delivers an extensive co-curriculum incorporating sports,music and performing arts that allows students to develop their creativity,along with teamwork and leadership skills. The language of instruction is English and all students benefit from a structured cultural programme preparing them for life at universities abroad.
Living and Working in Zhuhai
Zhuhai is a small city relative to the big players in China,but it is a diamond in the rough that borders on Macau and is connected by the world's longest bridge to Hong Kong. Today the city is known for golf resorts,theme parks and islands off the Pearl River Delta. The air quality and the seaside location work to make Zhuhai a highly liveable place. This is a great place to live in a sub tropical climate with Macau and Hong Kong on your doorstep.
School Requirements.
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in inspiring students in a stimulating learning environment
- Demonstrated experience of using ICT to promote learning
- Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with British education system preferred
- Experience in teaching EAL students preferred
- Ability to analyse student data to support student achievement
- Demonstrated experience in raising achievement and setting challenging targets
- Strong commitment to supporting all aspects of school programme,especially through participating actively in the extra-curricular activities and contributing to the life of the school community
