The School
This new campus opened in August 2022 and is the 3rd campus of a rapidly expanding school group in Guangzhou. The aim is to create a school with a genuine multi-cultural,international and future-oriented curriculum. Students in Early Years follow a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum, strengthened by the IB Primary Years Programme standards and practices, followed by the IB curriculum to DP level.
Living and Working in Guangzhou
The new campus is adjacent to the Guangdong Olympic Centre in Guangzhou,just 15mins from the original campus and covers an area of 73,000 square metres. Known as a very green city,Guangzhou has been voted one of the most live-able in China - it is close enough to Hong Kong and Macau for wonderful weekends away and has its own large expatriate community with all of the activities to match the typical expat lifestyle.
Requirements
- 2+ years of post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge and experience and/or enthusiasm to teach to the IB curriculum framework.
- Ideally will have experience of working in a bilingual or multicultural context, with sensitivity to the cultural differences
- Be committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and an ability to create a successful learning environment
- Show accountability for each student's progress and well-being.
- Have a commitment to reflection and improvement of personal practice.
- Well-versed in various teaching resources including digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
- Be collaborative and able to work as part of a team, with a willingness to actively participate in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
- You will understand the special challenges and opportunities that come with being a start up school.
