BASIS International & Bilingual Schools is a rapidly growing network of schools in China with a tradition of academic excellence and rigor. BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Nanshan
BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Nanshan will open in fall of 2024 and become the first campus focusing exclusively on Early Childhood Education. The campus will include classrooms tailored to the needs of young learners, play spaces, and more. BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Nanshan will move into the founding BASIS International School Shenzhen location in the expat-friendly Shekou neighborhood. The outstanding educational outcomes that have been achieved in this location already will continue as they blend the Chinese national curriculum with the BASIS Curriculum to excite young students and build a solid foundation for future study.
Living and Working in Shenzhen
Located in the expat-friendly suburb of Shekou, there are numerous Western restaurants, grocery stores, IMAX movie theaters with current releases in English, and shopping opportunities close to the school. Shenzhen itself is a wonderful planned city filled with plants and shrubbery on the coast in the warmer southern climate of China. Additionally, the area has easy access by car or ferry to Hong Kong and other Chinese cities, such as Macao, Zhuhai, and Guangzhou.
Requirements
- Fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Previous experience within an EAL setting
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence.
- Open to new ideas in teaching.
- Knowledgeable, passionate, and believe in transforming education.
- Able to motivate students to reach their highest potential, while also elevating own skills through peer collaboration and a culture where learning is of the greatest importance.
- Being a brand new school, flexibility is important as well as strong relationship building skills and an ability to build a strong school community.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary from approx. $55-65k USD per annum (360 - 420k RMB), more for leadership roles
