Assistant Head Pastoral - High School

Location: Dubai
Region: Middle East
Required: August 2024
Curriculum: IB DP / MYP
Salary: Very competitive salary with stipend
Experience required: 2 Years. Knowledge or practice of the IB MYP / DP
Sponsorship: Single or Married Teaching Couples
Contract: Two Years

Responsibilities

  • Developing students' safety, wellbeing and personal development
  • Ensuring behaviour and reward policies are embedded, and are implemented consistently and effectively
  • Supporting teams and individuals with strategic interventions to improve behaviour and wellbeing
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection:
    • Ensuring that legislative requirements regarding Child Protection are met
    • Taking on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead
    • Ensuring Professional Development and induction of staff in the Child Protection Policy and procedures
    • Ensure staff training and compliance logs relating to Child Protection are maintained
    • Liaising with outside agencies in areas of Child Protection
  • Reviewing, managing, and promoting the House Syste
  • Reviewing, managing, and promoting student leadership and self-management
  • Strategies to improve punctuality and attendance
  • Ensuring high quality form tutoring
  • Leading the Moral Education programme
  • Leading school wide events and enrichment and the High School calendar
  • Playing a leading role in external inspections and evaluations
  • Maintaining the highest levels of health and safety on the campus
  • Developing links with Primary School to ensure a collaborative approach to student wellbeing and student transitions.
