School Overview

This primary school follows the the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum (IPC) currently for Kindergarten 1 & 2, and Primary Years 1 - 4. Opened in 2018, it is an English-based curriculum, further enhanced by the teaching of Arabic as per the requirements of the Ministry of Education. The school ensures that all local Omani curriculum requirements are met to obtain an Omani Graduation Certification. They aim to promote the development of individual personality and ensure all the children feel valued and appreciated. Location Overview

Oman is a most welcoming, politically stable and friendly country. It has beautiful scenery, wonderful beaches, a very rich culture, and a sunny climate that enables a wide range of outdoor activities to be pursued throughout the year. The campus is located in the capital port city of Muscat. Strung below craggy mountains, the city is one of the Middle East's oldest and most picturesque cities. Between its corniches and modern quarter, full of fine dining and shopping malls, are Portuguese-built forts, blue-domed mosques, royal palaces, and souks.

Role Overview

You will be teaching a primary class between Years 1 and 4.

Requirements

• Fully qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience.
• Must have a Bachelor of Education in Primary or equivalent, in order to obtain a work visa.
• Experience of UK or Cambridge International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is desirable but strong adaptable teachers who do not have this will be considered.
• Previous EAL experience is advantageous.
• The school is high-tech with smart boards and smart tables, so candidates applying should be comfortable with technology in the classroom and be open-minded to future developments.
• Able to deliver active and engaging lessons.
• Display an energetic, positive attitude which will create a warm and engaging atmosphere to advance students' physical, mental, and social development.
